Festive red lip line-up

As someone who doesn’t love wearing a red lip all that often, I was surprised to find a few in my collection. Today I’m running through their formulas, showing comparison swatches, and sharing my favourite ways to rock a red lip (however rare that is!)

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 3 Review

I didn’t even need to swatch this in person when it released in stores. As the proud owner of last year’s holiday palette (Volume 2), I knew I had to pick up this year’s Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette. Volume 3 is the same as it’s predecessors – it’s got luxurious packaging and powders to match, and of course its steep price tag of $117 AUD ($80 USD).

Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater Review

I discovered this little bottle of skin-loving goodness when at the Brisbane Mecca Maxima Grand (re)Opening. I’ve used almost a third of the bottle in just over a month, so that’s a good indication of how this review is going to go!

Don’t think I’ve used up so much of a skincare product so fast!

Mario Badescu is a cruelty-free skincare brand that has pricing close to drugstore products, but performs as well, if not better than high end items! I selected the smaller sized bottle (118mL) and paid only $9 AUD, which is really cheap for what you get. They also have a 236mL size for $17, which I’ll be purchasing next time.

The most important ‘must-have’: cruelty free status

It smells of rosewater and feels beautiful against the skin. I love using this as an all-over mist throughout the day, and I definitely feel like it boost my skin’s appearance. I’ve also noticed less breakouts while using this product.

If you love good, easy, cruelty-free skincare, I highly recommend trying this. It can be used to set makeup, soothe or give skin a quick boost. You can spray it on your face, hair or body, making it the perfect all-rounder skincare product.

Mecca Beauty Loop: Mecca20 (Spring 2017)

In celebration of Aussie makeup giant Mecca turning 20, this quarter’s Beauty Loop contained one or more full sized products, depending on which level members are on. As a Level 3 member, I was blessed in receiving two full sized Mecca products!

Mecca Cosmetica Bright Eyed Eye Mask Review

After trying and loving the Tarte┬áPack Your Bags 911 Undereye Rescue Patches, I decided I wanted to try more of these cooling gel pads. I picked up these pretty little patches at the Mecca Maxima Brisbane Opening, and honestly can’t see myself repurchasing the Tarte ones again now that I’ve found these (sorry Tarte)!

Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette review

Today I’m talking about the fourth installment of the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette line. Unfortunately it’s being discontinued soon, but I thought it was still worth sharing my thoughts on the Naked Smoky.

Biggest Mecca Maxima comes to Brisbane

In the makeup community, Australia is usually one of the last places to get cool new releases…if we are lucky to get them at all. And even when we get new stores like Sephora, the bigger cities (Sydney and Melbourne) are the first places on the map to benefit. But on Friday, the largest Mecca Maxima ever opened it’s doors in the heart of Brisbane. Of course, I had to be there for the grand opening!
