As much as I love Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer, I can only purchase it on Tarte’s website, meaning it’s $37 AUD, plus tax, plus shipping, making it just too expensive to justify picking up again. So I decided to purchase their Creaseless Concealer at Sephora, to see if I could find a few favourite concealer.
I was apparently the first person to purchase this palette at my local Mecca Maxima on Tuesday, as they hadn’t officially released the online stock in stores at the time, but were selling the items if you asked. I asked to view the tester, and after only a few quick swatches, I was sold on this new addition to the Ambient Edit family!
If you read my post on my very first Lip Lab experience, you’ll know how much I enjoy the whole process. Now it’s time to share my thoughts on the tired and tested products I got to create, starting with the creme lipstick I named ‘So Fetch’.
The 50% off sales not only had lots of Anastasia Beverly Hills products, but also Becca Light Chasing items, including the Liquid Crystal Lip Topper Glow Glosses. Since I bought a couple of Anastasia glosses from the sales, I just purchased one from Becca which looked unique and totally different to all the other glosses I currently own.
The lip gloss comes in holographic gold cardboard packaging, which is different to Becca’s standard brown matte packaging.
The gloss itself comes in a test-tube looking plastic packaging, with a rounded base, meaning you can’t stand the product up on its own. The lid has a miniature version of the Becca silver compact with a frosted brown cap.
The applicator is a slanted doe-foot, and picks up a generous amount of product with each dip inside.
The shade Topaz x Gilt is a warm brown shade with a blue-to-purple glitter shift. Despite its unique colour, the floss is still very wearable alone or as a topper.
It has a slight artifical french vanilla scent which doesn’t linger long, however I prefer the vanilla scent of the Anastasia glosses if I had to choose between brands. I also didn’t like the taste of the gloss, so I’m glad I didn’t purchase more than one from the range!
Like the Anastasia gloss formula, this Becca gloss was very comfortable on the lips with only the faintest amount of grit from the glitter particles. While I still prefer the formula of my other lip glosses, I’m glad I picked up this Becca gloss for the colour.
Have you tried any lip products from Becca? Let me know what your favourite item is in the comments below!
For someone who didn’t drool over the Modern Renaissance as much as every other beauty blogger out there, it may come as a surprise that I picked up the Soft Glam palette while in Sephora the other week.
Glittery pink bubble bars just seem to be my thing! I’ve tried and loved both the Candy Mountain and Pink Pumpkin Bubble Bars, and after trying something more adventurous, I decided to go back to my roots by picking up the Rose Jam Bubbleroon!
I’ve tried and loved Mario Badescu Rosewater and Green Tea facial sprays, so when Mecca Maxima released the third installment, I was one of the first in store to pick up the Lavender spray!
