Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss Set Review

The Sephora 50% off sales earlier this year had me scrambling to purchase some more ABH glosses (best formula ever!), but this time it was for some minis.

Tarte High Tides and Good Vibes Deluxe H2O Gloss Set Review

Along with the Tarte clutch, I purchased the Good Vibes set to add to my growing lip gloss collection. Each gloss is 1mL, so you’re paying $5 per tube (RRP), or $2.50 per tube if you pick up a set on sale for 50% off during the sales – so it’s definitely worth a ‘treat yourself’ moment.

I finally got my hands on the two items I was most excited for from ColourPop’s Disney Designer Collection – the super shock cheek pearlised highlighters in the shades ‘A Smile and a Song’ and ‘Part of Your World’.

Colourpop x Disney Designer Collection: Lux Lipstick review & swatches

Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer review

As much as I love Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer, I can only purchase it on Tarte’s website, meaning it’s $37 AUD, plus tax, plus shipping, making it just too expensive to justify picking up again. So I decided to purchase their Creaseless Concealer at Sephora, to see if I could find a few favourite concealer.

Hourglass Unlocked Ambient Lighting Edit palette review

I was apparently the first person to purchase this palette at my local Mecca Maxima on Tuesday, as they hadn’t officially released the online stock in stores at the time, but were selling the items if you asked. I asked to view the tester, and after only a few quick swatches, I was sold on this new addition to the Ambient Edit family!

Becca Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss in Topaz x Gilt

The 50% off sales not only had lots of Anastasia Beverly Hills products, but also Becca Light Chasing items, including the Liquid Crystal Lip Topper Glow Glosses. Since I bought a couple of Anastasia glosses from the sales, I just purchased one from Becca which looked unique and totally different to all the other glosses I currently own.

The lip gloss comes in holographic gold cardboard packaging, which is different to Becca’s standard brown matte packaging.

The gloss itself comes in a test-tube looking plastic packaging, with a rounded base, meaning you can’t stand the product up on its own. The lid has a miniature version of the Becca silver compact with a frosted brown cap.

The applicator is a slanted doe-foot, and picks up a generous amount of product with each dip inside.

The shade Topaz x Gilt is a warm brown shade with a blue-to-purple glitter shift. Despite its unique colour, the floss is still very wearable alone or as a topper.

It has a slight artifical french vanilla scent which doesn’t linger long, however I prefer the vanilla scent of the Anastasia glosses if I had to choose between brands. I also didn’t like the taste of the gloss, so I’m glad I didn’t purchase more than one from the range!

Like the Anastasia gloss formula, this Becca gloss was very comfortable on the lips with only the faintest amount of grit from the glitter particles. While I still prefer the formula of my other lip glosses, I’m glad I picked up this Becca gloss for the colour.
