As someone who doesn’t love wearing a red lip all that often, I was surprised to find a few in my collection. Today I’m running through their formulas, showing comparison swatches, and sharing my favourite ways to rock a red lip (however rare that is!)
I love a good pink highlighter, in fact, I’d pick it over a traditional champagne or pale gold one! But there are so many other shades out there too that make for a fun pop of colour. Here are mine:
I’ve been holding off posting this blog for sometime now, trying to get the words just right, as this is a subject that is close to my heart. When the news broke this week that NARS lost its cruelty-free status after its decision to sell in China, I decided I needed to share this post. (*WARNING: graphic image towards the end of post*)
ColourPop loves a good collab, and while I have no idea who Amanda Steele is (YouTuber? Instagram beauty influencer?), her lip gloss ‘Hack’ caught my eye straight away. What can I say? I’m a child of the 90s, and like a little glitter in my gloss!
Priceline’s 40% off cosmetics sale was a pretty dangerous deal for my wallet. I’m happy to report only $30 of damage was done, with four products in total picked up. One of them was the NYX Micro Brow pen.
This bronzer has been on my wishlist for ages, but I only just decided it was time to find out if it’s worth the hype. Summer is over, but this baby better give me a glow all year round for $44 AUD.
It’s Too faced, so what ind of blogger would I be if I didn’t talk about packaging?! It comes in this adorable teal heart-shaped cardboard box with dark brown edges and gold detailing. My only gripe is the bulky packaging…it’s a shame it couldn’t be a little thinner.
Unlike Too Faced’s Chocolate range, this does not smell like Sweet Tea – it’s just a generic chemical smell – so that was a bit of a disappointment for me!
Inside you get 5.5 grams of product; one half is a ‘light’ shade, and the other is a ‘dark’ shade. The idea is to swirl the two together to get the perfect bronze shade.
The light side is a golden light brown colour, and the dark side is a deeper golden brown. When the two are mixed together, they for a gorgeous caramel shade. While this bronzer has shimmer in it, there’s no glittery chunks in it, so you’re only left with a nice sheen when applied to the face.
There is a large amount of kick-up, and I only needed to tap my brush in to get more than enough product. If you have fair to medium skin, this should work for you. Hopefully they bring out other shades for deeper skintones in the future too, so more makeup lovers can enjoy this product.
I’ve also swatched it alongside my other bronzers. As you can see, it’s one of the deeper shades, but still very wearable with a fluffy brush and light hand 😉
