I originally thought I didn’t need this Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed highlight, but as an enthusiastic Becca compact collector, I decided to use my 10% off Sephora voucher to pick up Lilac Geode.
The outer cardboard packaging is covered in metallic light to dark purple shards, with Becca’s logo in its usual spot in the top left hand corner of the box (see above: enthusiastic Becca compact collector).
Lilac Geode comes in Becca’s typical flying saucer style compact, and this particular shade has a metallic mid-toned purple-pink shell.
Inside there’s a good quality mirror, and 7 grams of product pressed into shards just like others from the limit edition and permanent lines in the range.
Lilac Geode is a cool pink with a golden pearl shift. While the colour looks quite dark (almost purple) in the pan, when swatched on fair skin it’s pretty wearable, provided you use a light hand. It can be built up for stronger colour payoff, making it a versatile highlight for a range of skin tones.
I swatched it next to a few of my other Becca highlights, and despite the pinks and purples I already own, none of them looked similar to Lilac Geode. So if you need an excuse for another pink highlighter in your collection, look no further than my swatch as proof!
