I’ve been waiting to get my hands on my perfect shade of the Fenty foundation for months now. Every time I’ve gone in store to request a sample, they’ve always had 100 or 130 (the first being too light, and the later being too warm-toned). Sephora’s online foundation matcher listed me as 120, so I took a chance and purchased the shade online (something usually very risky for us fair girls!) Here are my thoughts on the Fenty Pro Filt’r Foundation.
The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle with the words ‘Fenty Beauty’ in white lettering. It also comes with a plastic white pump, which distributes a nice amount of product.
You get 32mL of product, which is 2mL more than the standard amount of foundation across most brands. I paid $50 AUD for this foundation, which is on the ‘cheaper’ end of the high end foundation scale.
I usually wear a glowy foundation, so I was excited to try something that was more matte. It offers opaque coverage, but I find I need to work a little quicker when blending it into the skin, as it’s a little thicker in consistency. You’ll see what I mean by this in the swatches below.
I find this foundation wears well and lasts all day on the skin, even in the heat. I think this is suited to most skin types, however if you have super dry skin, you’ll want to use a hydrating primer since this is a matte foundation.
To conclude, I’m so happy I finally got to try this foundation, and can see it being a favourite of mine especially over the summer months when the humidity really starts to hit.
