IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+

I received this sample as the Sephora Robina store opening, and was very surprised to receive the shade ‘Fair’, since most freebies at these types of events are usually for medium skin tones.

The 4 mL tube is a mini version of the 32 mL full size, making it perfect for travel when space is precious.

The cream claims to be seven products in one:

  1. Full coverage foundation
  2. SPF 50+ (physical sunscreen)
  3. Brightening colour correcting
  4. Anti-aging sreum
  5. Pore minimising primer
  6. Dark spot corrector
  7. Moisturising day cream

Fair is a good match for my skin tone (despite my terrible swatch photo), however the full shade range is very poor with just seven shades in total. While I understand a CC cream doesn’t need to have the same comprehensive range as foundations, it would be fantastic to see the deep tones expanded on.

The cream has a thick consistency, but isn’t super heavy or cakey. On my skin, it was definitely medium coverage, but could be built up. The one thing I didn’t enjoy about the cream was the scent; it had this artificial lemon smell, which quickly changed to a more pungent smell (reminding me a little of vomit) when applied to my face. While the smell faded a few minutes after application, it was enough to spoil the product for me.

Unfortunately because of the smell, I wouldn’t repurchase this product in full size, but I will try use this sample up on short trips, as it’s a nice size for travel, and does offer decent coverage.

Have you ever had a smelly product you just couldn’t get behind? Let me know what it was in the comments below!
