Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Set

While I was at the Sephora Robina Opening the other week (p.s. the store layout is amazing!) I saw this beautiful little set. The pack of four retails for $35 AUD, but I was lucky enough my best friend Emily was there and agreed to split the cost and lipsticks (because I don’t need another four nude lipsticks, let alone two!) Here are my thoughts on Soft Pink and Kiss.

The packaging is pretty luxurious-looking, however it is plastic, so it feels a little cheap to the touch. The lipstick comes in a glossy back bullet with Anastasia Beverly Hills embossed along the slide. The bullet has a gold twist base, with the ABH logo on the top of the cap, as well as on the inside of the bullet in rose gold.

You get 1.3 grams of product in each mini lipstick (total of 5.2 grams in the set), which is a decent amount when you break down the cost per gram. A full sized Anastasia lipstick costs $32 AUD for 3.5 grams of product, so each gram costs $9.14 AUD, while it works out to $6.73 per gram with this mini set – so it’s definitely value for money.

This is how much product comes in one lipstick

Soft Pink is a warm blushing pink with a matte finish. It was a ‘my lips but better’ pink shade.

Kiss was another ‘my lips but better’ shade, only it was more nude rather than pink. It’s a warm terracotta rose colour with a matte finish.

Out of the two, Kiss is my favourite as it’s a little more neutral on the lips.

Have you tried any of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte lipsticks? Let me know which shade is your favourite in the comments below!
