I was a little sad to discover I had been dropped down to Level 2 status with Mecca, but I guess this means I’ve been spending less money – so that’s a positive, right? Here’s what I received in the Level 2 box.
Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm
I’ve moved away from using makeup wipes, so I was happy to receive a makeup removing product. I find this works well to remove my makeup, and works well with my Face Halo. However, Clinique isn’t cruelty free, so I wouldn’t purchase this product with my own money.
Mecca Cosmetica Transforming Facial Cleanser and Hydrating Moisturiser
I didn’t like the Transforming Facial Cleanser at all. It was very thick and didn’t really foam up like I expected it to, so I wouldn’t buy this in full size. The Hydrating Moisturiser was light-weight and soaked into my skin quickly, so I’d consider purchasing a full size once I’m out of moistursier.
MAC Strobe Cream
This is a pretty glowy cream with a soft pink sheen. For that reason, I feel this suits those with cool undertones best. If you have a glowy primer already, this isn’t a must-have in my opinion. And as MAC isn’t cruelty free, I wouldn’t purchase this item.
Too Faced Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss in Pure Peach
This little gloss delivers on its promises of being hydrating and smelling of peaches. The shade Pure Peach adds a subtle wash of colour and is very everyday friendly. I love the cute little peach detail on the cap too! While I have plenty of lip glosses, I would consider purchasing one of the full sized shades, most likely Peach Please or Papa Don’t Peach.
I’m very happy with this season’s box, however I wish they had an all cruelty free option for people like me. Let me know what you thought of this season’s Beauty Loop, and what you got in your box!
