I had a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out) with this eyeshadow palette. After being out of stock for over two months, Colourpop announced they would have one final restock of the entire Karrueche x Colourpop collection. It didn’t take me long to decide I wanted this in my collection, and less than 24 hours after their restock, it had sold out.
The palette has a very romantic and feminine feel to it, which is reflected in both the interior and exterior packaging. The cardboard box is a pretty bright rose shade, with rose-gold lettering across the front.
Inside you get a palette covered in red and mauve roses with the same rose-gold detailing.
Opening up the palette, the same kind of design is mimicked on the inside of the lid, and is a major improvement when compared to the Yes, Please! palette (a pretty ugly packaging design in my opinion!)
You get 16 eyeshadows in the palette – one satin, seven metallic and four matte shades, each one weighing 0.85 grams.
Ladylike is a frosted white champagne shade with a metallic finish. Babe is a satin pale pink colour with neutral undertones. Dainty is a metallic muted rose colour with cool undertones. Chick is a pale gold shade with a metallic finish.
Mademoiselle is a metallic rosy-pink shade. Gal is a duo-chrome metallic pink shade with a peach-gold flip. Empress is a mauve-rose colour with a metallic finish. Filly is a warm metallic cranberry shade.
Dear is a matte coral-pink shade and was a little patchy on the skin. Missy is a deep pink-red shade with a matte finish. Damsel is a deep plum matte shade, and was difficult to swatch – it was the most patchy shade to use from the palette. Duchess is a warm peach-pink shade with a matte finish.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the shade selections and finishes (aside from Damsel), and I’m glad I was able to pick it up before it sold out. If this palette is still something you’re chasing, I wouldn’t completely rule out future restocks. Colourpop has brought back limited edition / never to be stocked again products before, so it’s a possibility in my opinion.
