Lush has come out with a range of bath bombs, bubble bars, gift packs, knot wraps, lip products and more for this year’s Valentine’s Day collection. I initially had my eyes on the Tender is the Night naked shower cream, as well as the Tunnel of Love Soap. Upon discovering these two items came in a set with the Valentine’s Day lip scrub, as well as a hand cream scrub, I thought it was worth getting as a set.
Love Box retails for $34.95 (AUD), and includes a 60 gram Tender is the Night naked shower cream, a 100 gram Tunnel of Love soap, a 70 gram Salted Coconut hand scrub, The Kiss lip scrub (25 grams).
Both the naked shower cream and the hand scrub are smaller than their full sized counterparts (which are sold individually), so keep that in mind when it comes to the box’s overall retail value. Curious about the soap and shower cream’s weights, I measured them, and was happy to realise I’d received a surplus with both – 148 grams for the soap (instead of 100), and 107 grams (instead of 60).
Tender is the Night naked shower cream
Tender is the Night has a beautiful sugary-sweet scent, but with a bit of a cirtus-tang to it. The main scents used in this cream are jasmine and ylang ylang. Since it’s a naked (non-packaged) shower cream, it’s best to keep this one away from water whenever it’s not in use.
Tunnel of Love soap
Tunnel of Love has a sweet sherbet smell, with rose water, lime and wild orange oils as the main scent ingredients. Around the edge of the soap there are little bricks embossed to represent a tunnel, with a white heart in the center of the pink soap. The white part of the soap was melted when I received it, so if you live in a warmer climate, I recommend popping it into the fridge to allow it to harden before using it. It’s more gentle than a normal bar of soap, so it could be used all over the body to help hydrate the skin.
Salted Coconut hand scrub
Salted Coconut smells like sunscreen, and combined with the gritty texture (which reminds me of sand) for scrubbing, I’m really not sure if I like this product. It did help moisturise my hands though.
The Kiss lip scrub
I purchased this last year from the Valentine’s Day range, and loved the little red hearts mixed into the vibrant pink sugary scrub! This one appears to be the same as the 2017 one, and I can’t wait to dig into it!
