Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Review (Sea Siren)

My glitter eyeshadow game has totally changed for the better thanks to the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows, and I’m already itching to purchase more!

I’d been eyeing these off for a while, and when Mecca Maxima finally had the duochrome range available online and in stores, I knew it was time to spend some money! I purchased Sea Siren, as it was one of the most unique colours in the range.

Each liquid eyeshadow costs $35 AUD, and contains 4.4mL of product (or 4.2 grams). This is pretty expensive when you break it down to cost per gram, but in my opinion, it’s worth every cent!

Sea Siren is a bright lilac shade with a blue duochrome shift, and looks pink in some lighting. It’s a high impact colour without being too intense. I received so many compliments on my makeup when wearing this, and found I only really needed a light transition eyeshadow to complete the look.

I suggest using the applicator wand to gently dab the product on, as this technique gives more pigmentation and a high-shine impact. If you want a more sheer wash of glittery-goodness, you can swipe this over the lid. As the liquid dries fairly fast, you need to work quickly when applying the shadow. I was able to go back over with a fluffy blending brush to blend out any harsh lines, and didn’t experience much fall out (which is a pleasant surprise when it comes to glitter).

To remove, I just use regular make up wipes, and find the product comes off fairly easily, although I did notice a faint stain when swatching Sea Siren. It’s nothing super obvious on the eyelids though.

I highly recommend this product for makeup lovers of all levels, as it’s easy to use and apply, as well as having good wear time throughout the day with minimal fall out and creasing. Bravo Stila!

Have you tried any of the Magnificent Metals? What’s your favourite shade?
