My best friend got married last week, and one of the “to-do’s” as a bridesmaid was to find a pink or red lipstick to wear, that wasn’t too bold, but also wasn’t nude. Her MUA suggested MAC, but as I’ve gone cruelty-free, MAC wasn’t an option.
I needed a brand with plenty of shade and finish options, which brought my to the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick stand in Mecca Maxima. My other best friend Emily kindly spend the next half hour swatching every pinky-nude shade in store. We agreed Backtalk was the pick of the bunch, and was a shade I’d wear again.
Backtalk is a nude/mauve-y pink shade and is described as having a comfort matte finish in the Vice range. I found it last well throughout the day, and I only needed light touch ups after lots of food and drinks.
The packaging is super luxe and has a nice weight to it. The words Urban Decay are engraved along the tube, as well as printed on the inside. The letters UD are embossed on the top of the packaging, and stamped into the lipstick tube.

For $28 AUD I don’t think you can go wrong for the quality of the product and the packaging it comes in. It’s definitely a collector’s item, and I’m hoping to purchase more in the future!
